OPENING OUR HEARTS TO GOD BY REFLECTING AND HONORING

 

In our worship, at Sovereign King, we desire to open our hearts to God in order that He might receive the honor that is His due. Amazingly, as we do this, we are built up. 

 

REFLECT

 

God commands the whole world to honor Him in worship. This is not only our duty, but it is also our privilege. As we give God praises, we are transformed. God gives us a joy that we have never known before. Our services hope to reflect our commitment to worship and the joy God gives us.

 

HONOR

 

Over the history of the church, there have been divergent worship patterns and styles. Each has been unique and part of cultural expressions to God. At Sovereign King, we do not declare ourselves as "contemporary" or "traditional" or other category. Instead, we hope to represent the music of the generations that are present while honoring the generations that went before us. With that in mind, you will find in our services music that has been written by people within our congregation to songs from the 4th century to Psalms that were written thousands of years ago. With that, we hope to stand with believers of old in worshipping our God.

 

THOUGHTS ON THE LORD'S SUPPER

 

Scripture teaches that the Lord's Supper is not only a reminder of what Jesus has done, it is also a strengthening to those that who it in faith. Trusting and believing that, we take the Lord's Supper each week because we are those that need to be strengthened.
